Medical/Surgical Nursing Services

The medical/surgical unit is staffed with Registered Nurses and Aides who are trained to care for a wide array of patient needs. This 42-bed area also features electronic charting which has been proven to increase patient safety. A patient educator visits inpatients to assist patients in understanding and managing chronic illnesses.

The unit recently underwent a multi-million dollar expansion and renovation which incorporates the majority of the second floor of the hospital.  New features include 7 private rooms, 2 semi-private rooms, and a new family lounge area.

All of the new patient rooms include a flat panel television, cherry panel doors, and a decor which creates a home-like atmosphere.  Bedside computers are also in each room for electronic charting.
